OptiStruct doesn't start

good afternoon,

I have the student version of Altair Hyperworks 2017 and I have a problem with Optistruct. I can create the mesh ( a simple shell of four elements) with all contrains, materials, etc. the problem is when I try to start Optistruct from the menu analysis-->optistruct: I save the fem model in the correct folder and then using analysis as a run option I press Optistruct. The software creates the fem file but it doesn't start Optistruct. Is there a solution?

    I am struggling with the same problem. In the working folder I have .hm, .fem, .tcl and .cfg files only. Anybody can help us?

    Hi,

     

    Are you using Student Edition?

     

    Could you please share operating system details?

     

    Can you reinstall and check if that helps?

    Hi,

    sorry for the delay. Yes, I am using Student Edition. I've tried unistalling 2017 version and installing 14.0 but the problem still remains.

    Operating system details:

    Windows 7 64 bit

    Intel Core i7-2670QM @ 2.20GHz

    RAM: 16 GB

    Hi,

     

    Can you change the working directory and try again?

     

    Does it happen with different models?
