Hello Friends,

In my model Analysis I got error like 237714 element(s) require assigned material of type structural. I have defined material to each and every part. How can I see in which elements have some missing material properties or something. As I am using Shell and solid elements as well as some RBE2. only RBE2s have not material properties but still they have propeties in which Card Image PBUSH1dD and K is mentioned.

Please help me.

Thank you,

Regards,

Jay Nayak

    Hi Nayak,

There are 869287 elements with incompatible property/material.

What material card  are you using?

I think you have temperature boundary conditions and you are not using any thermal material like MAT4/MATT4.

    Please check and update

    Hello,

As I am doing Thermo mechanical analysis, I am using Mat1 for solid condition and for thermal MAT4. for heat Transfer coefficient I am using Shell elements in which I am only using Mat4 because I dont't require densitiy and all other properties. while in solid properties I filled up all MAT1 Properties and in MAT4 I just filled H as my heat Transfer coeffient Zero. Because I have already defined same size Shell element around my solid with exact heat Transfer coefficient.

Still I have this Kind of error as you can see in image

As in Optistruct, I can't define my heat Transfer coefficient separetly on my solid elements so I have defined indiviidual Shell elements with MAT4.

so I have Solid elements with MAT1 and MAT4 - h (Heat Transfer Coeff- 0)

& Shell elements which are around my solid element with exact size and thickness 0.000001 , with MAT4 with exact heat Transfer Coefficient.

I am doing Linear static Analysis in which I have introduced Temp as Load and Forces or Pressure.

    Nayak,

Can you share the model file using secured file transfer link in my signature?
