All the sensitivities of response 1 objective are zero

    Hi,

    Please check whether there are any free nodes and also check loads and boundary conditions.

    If you still face the problem please share the .fem file

    Hi @ian

    The applied force is not attached to any FE entities (see image below)

    Please apply force to the nearest node and try again.

    is there any ways i can apply the force with out the nodes, because i want to apply the force at the exact location (394, 55,410), or how can i attach to the FE ?

    No, But you can create a node at the coordinate location and create a RBE2 between the nearest node and new node and apply force on that.

    Or

    Remesh such a way that you get a node exactly at that location.

    hello i have another question

    I am trying to make the component  symmetry about the Z axis, I have used the pattern grouping and placed the anchor node at centre, and the first node next to it, however the results component is still not completely symmetric. 4 yellow lines and one yellow line

    how can i resolve this problem

    thank you

    How about this, with 2-plane symmetric constraint.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>2.PNG

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>1.PNG

    Try to make design and non-design spaces, where elements attached to loads and BCs go in Non-design component.

    hello sir,

    how can i find the average element size for the member size control?

    hello sir,

    how can i find the average element size for the member size control?

    I think optistruct will notice average elem size on output.

    If not, try display only the elems and type below commands into command window (menu View>Command Windows)

    *createmark elems 1 displayed

    hm_getaverageelemsize 1

    hello sir,

    thanks for the reply, but i don't quite get what you mean (please forgive me i am new to hyperwork). i am looking for the value for MINDIM to achieve the best result. i know that it should be at least 3 times the average element size, but where should i get the average element size.

    Did you enter the command hm_getaverageelementsize ?

    It will return a value

    If it does not work with 3d elems I will give you a template to calculate

    I am not sure whether an available function to do that or not. But a template is simple

    it shows

    (Documents) 1 % hm_getaverageelementsize
    invalid command name 'hm_getaverageelementsize'
    (Documents) 2 %

    Hi @ian

    @tinh command works pretty fine.

    See the image below and try the same.
