    Hi,

Please refer Optistruct user guide for transient response analysis. Attached same in xps format.

    Refer Radioss online tutorials aswell.

    Hi,

Normally we perform explicit analyses for very short duration, ie milliseconds, like high speed dynamic analysis.

If you want to run for a long time try the same in OptiStruct, implicit solver.

I mean my duration is short but i perform the analysis for some more duration ?What is going to be with my entered value ?If i perform simulation for more than 0.005 second lets say 0.01 second  how hyperworks is going to take it ?

    Hi,

The same load on the body at .005 will continue to act till the end of the run.

i applied load on a cantilever beam type structure .It show max displacement at end of time ?

    Hi,

This could be because of the load curve.

Gradually ramp up the load on to the model until we achieve the desired total load. This gradual ramping up the load is often a more robust approach for solving explicit analysis.
