What are curvature refinement parameters?

    Hi,

     

    These are the parameters used to resolve curvatures in the geometry.

     

    In the data tree manager, when you turn this option ON, you'll see two options which are mentioned below.

     

    A] Curvature Angle- Its a ratio of curvature height to chord.

    B] Curvature mesh size factor- Its a ratio of min. mesh size to mesh size.

    If you use curvature-based refinement on surfaces that have sharp curves, you must specify a reasonable minimum curvature size either globally. Otherwise, extensive amounts of mesh refinement will take place in that area. 

     

    In general, it is the parameter which defines mesh refinement in sharply arched areas.
