I am trying to apply the enforced constraint to the top surface of the snap part. the analysis is non linear with Contact. I set the coninous sliding with search tolerance 0.2, but also changed it. after the analysis, there is stress (in reasonable points of the part where there is contact) but no movement of the part !!!

    Hello Farzad,

Can you please confirm if you have the proper deformation component in your animation parameters, as shown in the picture below?

    Hello Farzad,

This is a model of the most recent Non Linear Course with SimLab. I would advise for you to either attach the model for me to look at or take a shot at debugging.

DEBUGGING --> Start with simple modeling. Delete the contact and see if the top part is moving to the direction you wish. If the post process shows this movement, add the contact.

If you have the contact: There is a chance that you can't see the movement due to visualization. Check the solver log (as in our training) to see if the contact status gets updated.

Last but not least, take a look at the solved file. There you can find the database complete. Replicate all the steps and report back to us.

    I hope this helps,

    Kindly,

    Ioannis Makris
