Let’s have a look at the key features of PollEx 2020.1!
PollEx PCB Modeler
In addition to PCB
- Added import and export features for Rigid-Flexible PCB
PollEx PCB Solver
In addition to SI
- Added a function of External Noise Port
- Added a feature to support the Arbitrary Bit Stream
- Added grouping automation function for Component and Net
- Added an item to check capacitance connected status
PollEx PCB Verification
In addition to DFE+/Logic DFE
- Rule based analysis module, PCB DFE+ was added
Import and Export Rigid-Flexible PCB design
- Required to set up layer stack and Coverlay information
- PollEx PCB Solver
In addition to SI - Possible to analyze noise effect coupled from outside such as EMS
External Noise Port
- In order to see the effect of the noise coupled in the trace or cable due to EMS, the function to add an “external noise port” on the net is added to the Net Topology Analyzer of PollEx S User can use *.csv and *.dat file format for external noise waveform file.
- Worst case simulation can be performed by controlling the assertion skew(delay) between basic waveform and noise waveform.
“Arbitrary bit stream” stimulus feature
- When performing Eye-Diagram analysis using PollEx SI, a function to apply an arbitrary bit stream as a stimulus has been added to the Network Analyzer. As an arbitrary bit stream file, *.csv and *.txt file formats are supported.
Using UPE library in DFE+: Automatic Component Group/Net Group generation
- To automatically analyze a design using DFE+, user need to set the Component Group and Net Group to be analyzed. The "Import from UPE" button is added to PollEx DFE+ Design Constraints dialog for automatic configuration of the Component Group. Upon clicking this button, the Component Group is automatically set using the "Part Classification" information set in advance in the UPE.
- To automatically analyze a design using DFE+, user need to set the Component Group and Net Group to be analyzed. The "Import from net class definition" button is added to PollEx DFE+ Design Constraints dialog for automatic Net Group configuration. Upon clicking this button, Net Group is automatically set by using the "Net Class" information set in advance on the PCB.
