ABSTRACT

A novel “high speed kneading granulator” has been developed and its performance of wet granulation was evaluated using formulations containing high content of water-insoluble API. Also, the mixing performance, particle movement, impact frequency and energy etc. were analyzed by a computer simulation via a DEM (Discrete Element Method). Based on the information, granulation mechanism of the high speed kneading granulator was discussed.
