Mesh a beam embedded in the floor

Hi all,

I have a problem concerning the line mesh (for the beams and column). If I import the file igs containing only lines, I can get correctly to line mesh. On the other hand, if I import the shell and line at the same time, I can not mesh the lines. When I click on line mesh it looks good, but after 'return' there is nothing happening.

Moreover for the case of a beam embedded in the floor, it is necessary that the nodes of the beam must coincide with the nodes of the floor. I did not find this option that allows to mesh at the same time the lines and the floor so that they are glued together. The only way is use the 'equivalence' after mesh lines and shell?

Thanks you for your helps.

Best regards,

    Hi Ve3D,

Please turn on the 'Display Element handles' icon as shown in the below image and you will be able to visualize the line mesh.

Or crate a beam section and assign to the lines and visualize it.

    Thank you.

Thanks very much for your reponse.

In addition, I found that when I mesh the lines, the mesh passes in the current layer and not the layer of the meshed lines. That's why I did not see them

    Best regards
