Hello! I am trying to simulate the behaviour of an expanded polystyrene filling making use of Hypermesh and then solving with OptiStruct. I have created the mesh using tetramesh but I do not know what type of Card Image I should use. If someone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks  in advance!

    Hi,

This could probably be simulated as an isotropic material, maybe, so, MAT1 would be enough. I assume the foam will have similar properties in all directions.

If you feel this is not true, then you could try MAT9 for anisotropic material, or MAT9OR for solid orthotropic material.
