PCOMPP, STACK, PLY

Is there any information regarding the use of PCOMPP, STACK, and PLY cards beyond the definitions that are in the help files? How are these used? I can not find STACK or PLY anywhere and I do not see how to use PCOMPP in Hyperlaminate.

I upgraded to HW9.0 hoping for a way to define a base laminate and plies on top of this in particular locations. Then if the base laminate was to be changed I would not have to update twenty PCOMP cards. My work most often involves a base laminate with tapes and patches laid on top.
