Hi,

I am trying to model cables with stranded cores. Any suggestions on how should I approach.

Thanks in advance

    Hello,

it depends on how the stranded cores are twisted. let's suppose stranded cable with 4 wires twisted together. you can use analytical curve button in FEKO. please the attached images. in my examples all the cables are not touching each others. you can change the radius of the twisting to make them touching.

if you need any thing else i m here to help. (send your cable format in order to help you building its model) :)/emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />

Hi. Thanks a lot for the insight.

How are you defining the harness and cable specs though?

Also, do you have any idea regarding how to measure input impedance for cooling fan motor and PCB traces?
