Export from Hypermesh to ANSYS
Hello Everyone,
The objective is to go for exporting a 2d mesh created in hypermesh into ANSYS Wokbench.
The mesh has been created. I have exported the mesh to Ansys (Using Export-ANSYS). I have obtained a .cdb file which is the input for ANSYS Solver.
However when I am loading it in ANSYS I am not able to get the mesh for all the components of the assembly. Mesh for single component can be seen and rest all is not coming , even in geometry.
Only geometry and mesh was made in HM as I wanted to make contacts and BC's in Ansys.
Need help for the same.

Gopal,
Setting up a model in ansys is different from other user profiles, you will need to add an element type from the utility tab etc please see the below tutorial and follow the steps there
HyperWorks Desktop Applications > HyperMesh > HyperMesh Solver Interfaces > ANSYS:
HM-4410: Setting Up a Model in ANSYS
Hello Prakash and Rahul,
I was in Radioss Bullk Format and then went to tools>convert>Radioss(bulk data) to Ansys. As the conversion got completed, it got converted in to Ansys Profile. Then I have exported the .cdb file.
Is it possible to export only geometry and mesh into the ANSYS and assign contacts, boundary conditions , loads in ANSYS and solve there itself.
Hi Prakash,
I am able to import the file in ANSYS Mechanical APDL 15.0 but not in ANSYS Workbench platfrom of Mechanical. In Mechanical APDL also initially it was giving a warning for element shape check and later I switched it off. After this I was able to see my complete model in APDL. I want it to be imported in workbench platform.
Hi Gopal_Rathore
can you confirm, that you are in Ansys profile when have exported from HyperMesh?
also, what is the version of Ansys are you using to import the file and what is the version of HyperMesh are you using?
