How to set absolutely constant acceleration for the motor, for kinematics only ?

Hello

In Inspire > Motion menu

How to define absolutely constant acceleration for the motor, for kinematics only, without dynamics, without masses and moments of inertia,

to check the ratios of speeds and accelerations only in some mechanism?

Thanks a lot

    Hello Boris,

You can create an Acceleration motor and then define a Solver Expression input.  For example, for a constant linear acceleration of 1.5 rad/sec, simply change the motor Function to Solver Expression and enter 1.5*time, as shown.

I am not clear exactly on what you mean by no masses/MOI, but perhaps the above is what you needed.

    Dear Scott

With expression 1.5 * time I get growing acceleration, but I need constant.

I need to verify the acceleration ratio between inlet and outlet of the attached mechanism.

I have a calculation in excel with constant acceleration on the arm, where the motor appears,

and output acceleration on lead screw (long rotating shaft).

The calculation is very complex (with second derivative of displacement function) and I need to check it functionally. That's all.

This problem does NOT include masses, forces or inertia - just the geometry (shape) of the mechanism.

Apparently, the Inspire cannot disregard the masses, even if set almost 0, and they somehow interfere the results, causing it fluctuate and deviate, (that would happen in real world).

But I am trying to turn this function off, like you can turn off the gravity in the simulation.

    Thanks a Lot

    Dear Scott

I have been advices to use

I think that is what I need, but I received an error message:
