I am trying to create a circumferential magnetic field source in physics. what I want is shown below.image

could anyone guide me how to set this in the AC magnetic application?

Thanks in advance.

    Hello Wenjun,

Can you please share the model with us, so that I can work on modeling the circumferential magnetic field source and propose a solution using field in X and Y directions?

If not here, you can share the model in the ticket which you have opened.

    Thank you,

    Lavanya

a very simple model.  pure air, a Cylinder space. would like to have a

circumferential magnetic field source going around the Z-axis.

    Hello Wenjun,

Circumferential magnetic field source cannot be implemented using Source magnetic field in Steady state AC Magnetic application in Flux. But you can do it by assigning a "Boundary condition : imposed magnetic flux" line region on the cylinder that is surrounding the inner disc in 2D. I had attached an example model. Please let me know, if this works for you or not.

    Thank you

Thanks! but could your provide the 2019 version? I haven't upgrade to the newest version now.

By the way, would that be possible in 3D?

    Hello Wenjun,

I recreated the 2D model in version 2018.1. You should be able to open it now.

We do not have an option to impose magnetic flux on a face region in 3D. I am trying to figure out a work around to get the circumferential magnetic filed in Steady state AC 3D magnetic. I will keep you posted.

    Thank you,
