Hello,

To what type of elements KJOINT2 connects?

Can I connect it to an element with property=solid and material=rigid?

Tnx,

Doobie

    Hi Doobie,

KJOINT2 is used for spring elements. This tool will create automatically the needed rigid bodies and also property card in accordance to the selected type of joint.

    Thank you

    Hi Doobie,

You can connect with RBODY master node for example.

    Hi Doobie

In Radioss it is recommended not to use the M13_RIGID.

Yes you can create a KJOINT2 between two components with solid elements. Just ensure that all the nodes of the solid components you are connecting are rigid, by defining a /RBODY for each of them.

Also it is recommended to have the two nodes of the spring defining the /KJOINT2, to be coincident.
