how to give a UNIFORM DISTRIBUTED LOAD

Hi everyone, i have this doubt on how to define a  uniform distributed load?.....

What all did i try to sort this problem/  alternative solutions tried?.......

alternative tried 1 = wen i go for Force tab am able to give force only for points, nodes or components,,,,...so i just divide my load by number of nodes and give it to the individual nodes which is a time consuming process......am not able to give it as a constant force through out the surface in a single go

alternative tried 2=else i convert the force to a pressure by manually calculating the area (P=F/A) and i define it to that surface which is still more time consuming process,,.....

alternative tried 3= i create a rigid element by holding on to the nodes which are all having the Uniform Distributed Load and define a load to the center node.....but i have a doubt that wen the nodes selected are in a irregular lamina then the main node is not formed in the center but offsetted some where else so at this point does the uniform distributed load is acting perfectly or else it causes some additional moments are forces on the spots in the far away spots.....

and what should be the card image used

I prefer third option but above two alternative is also fine.

thanks rahul i wil follow the alternative3.....but does it add on any additional moments for any irregular lamina....

Eg. if it is a load on a washer then the node is formed in the center  so  i will define a load in the center node but coming to a irregular laminae the main RBE3 node is formed some where in the space and will it also b a UDL or will it account additional moments......

    Thanks in advance

What should be the card image used......is it the same LOAD card image or anything else for the UDL

I prefer RBE2 element because it transfer load equally to all dependent nodes. In optistruct for force no card image is needed. LOAD card is for combining multiple load case.

and for even constraints is there no card image needed...cause i solved by giving no card image for constraints.....i saw two things which are more likely relevant namely single point constraints SPCCADD AND multipoint constraint MPCCADD but i gave no card image......

and one more thing even wen i go for F1help in hm am not able to find the details of each card image when it should be used.......i use card images only by word of mouth.....

can u share me any material  on card image i.e some chartsheet form which has the details on which card image should be used for what sort of problems......

If I create a rigid of a circular cross section how will it distribute the load(direction on each node)??

Directions are same as master load

It's an interesting question. I was also wondering. Hope someone can answer it.
