Distributed Forces and Moments

Hi, i'm new to HyperWorks (and to FEA in general) and i have a couple of questions.

I want to run an optimization for a pulley, and i am having problems when applying distributed forces and moments.

Is it possible to apply a distributed force over a surface without using pressure?

Is it possibe to apply distributed moments over a surface in HyperMesh? How do i do it?

Thanks.

Thanks for the answer, i used rigid elements, and i got good results.

I would use an RBE to distribute the load among the nodes in the area you are interested. If you want to enforce a specific load at each node, then simply divide the load over evenly distributed nodes.
