I have had the same issue as you, with the same error message (sometimes appearing, sometimes not), with HW crashing on launch. Version: 22.3.1
So far I have been able to isolate the issue to be only under the following conditions:
If I am logged out of Webex, HW launches without crashing.
I have not been able to diagnose the issue any further than this. Hopefully someone has some clues what to try next (besides removing Webex completely, it's needed for work).

Hi
So i have the same problem but without the error message. When i opened HW, it just didn't showed up, and nothing happened.
I had asked for help and one of the member of Altair told me that i should shut down Webex in order not to interface HW. But i'm sure that i have Webex on my laptop.
Any advice?

Updating to the latest Hyperworks (2023) has resolved my issue and I’m able to launch all the softwares without any conflict with Webex.
I had deleted and recreated my user profile prior to this for another issue, but I’m fairly certain the software update is what fixed this issue, I believe it was a known conflict/bug for Altair.

By the way, i'm using the Student Edition
Many thanks
Hi Rasmus,
You can try the following steps to see if they remedy your issue:
1: Run hwcleanup. This will remove the session files that HM creates and uses. Corrupt session files could cause crashes.
2: Update Graphics Drivers: We have seen older graphics drivers will give users problems. DO a clean reinstall of the graphics drivers.
3: Check Antivirus software: See if your antivirus software, is locking down the machine too tight, and not letting HyperWorks launch.
