Dear Expert FEKO,

 

I am a researcher in microstrip antenna. I am working with CST now, but I want to change to FEKO software. I made a research about FEKO and I would like to ask you about the following:

1) Why does the model simulation in FEKO not consider the width of copper thickness?
2) If the thickness of copper will be considered, what is the type of excitation will be right to use in microstrip antenna?

    Regarding 1) a similar discussion appears in: 

    Regarding 2) it will depend a bit on the structure but for example if a ground plane is present you can use a pin fed feed with a wire port.
