Quality parameters

Hi,

can anyone explain how the quality parameters are calculated.

How the values are derived, for example maximum angle 140deg.

are there any calculations behind that?

How exactly solution varies by varying quality parameters.

If any one has the document please share.

Thanks,

    Hello

You press F10 => enter panel 'check elems'

then press F1 => open help about this panel

you can find definition of parameters

But severals may differ from solver specific, forexample warpage is usually angle, but in nastran it is ~ sine of angle

    yes i know that.

I wanna know , what is the theory and calculation behind those qulaity parameters irrespective of solvers.

I hope you understand what am looking for.

    Thanks,

    Hello

you wanna know why the threshold value is 140deg?

    i see  some people  decide 140, some 150, warping are 10, 12, 15, etc

warping perhaps depends a little on mesh size

min length depends on solver time

aspect depends on analysis type, mesh type

    ...

combination of the values then help you create model quickly, good quality numerically, nice looking, low solving cost, ...

If you didn't know to define thresholds, just keep them default as in FEM handbook or software recommendation

If you wanna know how the values affect to solution, just make a simple model with varying values
