Composite Plate Diagram Stress along Thickness

( Hypermesh, Optistruct, Hyperview )

Good evening,

I'm performing an analysis on a composite material plate ( a simple rectangular plate ), made with 17 layers. The plate is subject to tensile and bending on the same side.

I need a graph showing the stresses variation along the thickness. But how ?

I followed:

- Measure Panel ( selected an element of the model )

- Contour

  - Composite Stresses ( s )

  - Normal X Stresse

  - Layers = Top/Bottom

  - Top/Bottom Layer Settings

     - Top Layer = Ply1

     - Bottom Layer = Ply 1

  -  Use Corner Data

  - Averaging Method = Simple

I wished to collect enough data to plot the graph by myself.

However, every ply has always the same top and bottom stress. Why ?

If you know an easier way to get this plot, please give me a proper explanation.

Thank you for the help.
