How to obtain the MMF (magnetomotive force) curve of airgap/rotor/stator

Dear all,

I'd like to look at the MMF (magnetomotive force) distribution of airgap/rotor/stator of a synchronous reluctance machine so I can do FFT analysis. A lot of papers mention their MMF results based on FEM but I don't know how to do that in Flux. Does anyone know how to do it?

Kind regards,

Chen

    Hello,

In Flux there is no fonction allows to directly compute the MMF. The bypass is to compute the radial component of magnetic field in the air gap. To do it you need:

    • Create a path in the middle of the air gap
    • Compute the radial component of the magnetic field
    • Multiply by the air gap thickness the radial component of the magnetic field computed before

    Best regards.

    Hello @abdessamad

how can i compute the radial component of the magnetic field
can you please give me an example?
