    Hi Tony,

Did you add the installation path of edem to the environment variable?

Please see the link below, it might be helpful.

Thanks for this, it helped. I have been able to successfully coupled the EDEM -Fluent, however, I am getting reports of 'particles could not be loaded in fluent' in my fluent console. Please can someone tell me why I am getting that?

    Hi,

The most likely cause of this is going to be that your EDEM and Fluent domains aren't the same, meaning that the EDEM particle position data isn't within the Fluent domain. Usually this happens if the domains are at different scales, although they could also be located differently. I would check that the extents of the domains in the two software are the same.

    Cheers,

    Richard

Please whenyou say domain, do you mean the location in term of global coordinates

    Hi Tony,

That is correct, it's best to check the global X,Y,Z domain for both EDEM and Fluent , as Richard mentions if both software are running at different scales this could mean the particles are not seen in Fluent.

    Thanks for the help.

I have rotation zones in the setup, would i have to set the rotations in both EDEM and Fluent?

    Hi Tony,

Yes, any rotations of the geometry in Fluent should match EDEM.
