Need help for meshing a stabilizer link of a commercial vehicle

dear members,

i need to mesh a stabilizer link of a commercial vehicle. I need to then simulate load conditions. The problem i am facing is,

1. The component is a .stp file and there are tolerances of 1mm between each connecting joints. now, hypermesh meshes each body separately. what i need is to mesh the entire body as 1 unit. can some one pls give me some suggestions.

how can i bridge these gaps and combine the solids as 1 entity??

2. I want to know how i can improve the quality of my mesh. Im just a beginner and have been using the ways mentioned in the tutorials. As its an .stp file, i am able to mesh it only using the tetramesh command.

I will really appreciate even the smallest help you can do...

thank you! image/emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>
