EDEMCal Problem (2)

Hello all,

I have a problem with EDEMCal. When I try to start the simulations from the input window, all the hooks turn green directly and a progress of 100% is displayed. However, no simulation is started. The jobs are created in the folder, but without completed simmulation.

    Hi,

    It is most likely not picking up the EDEM .exe.  Default location for the .exe in EDEM 2021.2 is 

    C:\Program Files\Altair\2021.2\EDEM2021.2\bin 

    If you go to your windows environment variables > system variables and edit the Path variable to include the location of the exe.  The environment variables should look like:

    Note you don't need the older versions, but the latest you want to run should be at the top.

     

    Also you could use EDEM 2022 and EDEMCal associated with this.  It is still a good idea to add the environment variable for EDEM 2022 however EDEM Cal also has the option to set the location directly if using this version:
