EDEM Flow Symmetry (Mirror Boundary Condition) - Split a Conveyor in Half To Reduce Particle Count

Hi, is it possible to create a planar symmetry boundary condition? This would allow me to halve the number of particles in a conveyor application.

The particles are much smaller than the conveyor width, and I am using a periodic boundary condition in the direction of flow. Perhaps a plane with coefficients of static friction and rolling friction = 0, while the coefficient of restitution is set to the bulk material?

Thanks!

    Hi Tim,

It's not something we have as standard in EDEM.

You can create a physical wall with the same properties as the particles, for the particle-wall friction setting the static friction to 0 in this case would be recommended, as for a symmetry condition the wall and particle would be moving at the same speed so there would be no sliding friction.  Rolling friction can be set same as particle-particle interactions.
