I want to count the number of particle contacts.

I think it can be counted by using API, but I couldn't find how to do that.

Colud you tell me how to count the number of particle contacts? , or colud you tell me useful tutorial for tihs case?

    Hi Masaki,

Are you interested in the number of particle-particle contacts or the number of contacts each particle has?

For the first point in EDEM you can plot/export this data. If you wanted to export it you can go to the Analyst > File > Export Results Data and choose Contacts > Number of contacts from the filters.  Under type 1 and type 2 you can choose to select these as Particles and will give you the number of contacts for the type1-type2 elements chosen.

If you are interested in the number of contacts per particle this would be the Particle information > Coordination Number.  The coordination number is the number of contacts per particle.

Actually, I'd like to apply body force  to particle according to the number of contacts per particle.

I think it can be by using API, but I couldn't find how to do that.

Colud you tell me how to use contact infoamtion of the particle in API? , or colud you tell me useful tutorial for tihs

    case?
