While performing Dynamic analysis on a Chassis (made of AISI 4130 Chromoly Steel), when assigning the material what should we select for type and card image option?

    Hi,

     

    it would be nice if you take a look at the Radioss documentation for a better understanding of what material models Radioss supports. All these different types should be there.

     

    But usually, for a elasto-plastic material, you would use MAT2 or MAT36.

    MAT2 uses the JohnsonCook equation/parameters for building the plastic curve.

    MAT36 can be used if you have the actual plastic curve (stress-strain).
