is it possible to export geometry from a mesh

Hi,

Currently I only have a part CAE file fully meshed and I believe it was extracted as midsurface from the original geometry. When I delete the mesh, I can not mesh again by selecting surface or component. I know I can remesh by selecting elements, while I prefer to get a CAD file. I am wondering is there a way to export a geometry (like CAD igs file) from this meshed part, so I can modify it in like CATIA?
