How to duplicate model?

Hi there:
Is there any function in HyperMesh can duplicate a model?
I was using symmetry model to run optimization, now I would like run analysis for a full model and it would be much more easier if I can just duplicate the model.
I went to Tools want didn't find any function for duplicate, what I found was like:reflect, translate etc.
Cheers

    Hi Wuping,

You can easily duplicate the model from the extended entity selector,

Since you are trying to create a full model from a symmetric partial model I expect you will be using the reflect or translate options anyway,

once you are in any of these panels just click on the yellow entity selector, say elements and then click on duplicate, you can then choose if the duplicated elements are placed in the original component or the current component also, once this is done you can then reflect or translate the duplicated elements while the original elements remain, (same applies for surfaces etc)

another way is to import the model again (you can import your hm database using file > import > model)

    Hi,Rahul:
    Thanks for your reply.
Another question is when using reflect, there are options to select elements or solids and no matter which one I use, the duplicated component needs to be mesh again, is that right?
The picture I attached was the lug geometry. the right hand geometry was meshed and how to using reflect to duplicates both the solids and meshed elements?

    Regards

Simply reflect the entire components after you duplicated them.

This reflects all solids and all elements which are set in this component. Do not forget to equivilance the nodes on the contact surface...
