Motionsolve crashes with crg file
I'm using the vehicle tools motorcycle and events. Simulations usually works but lately, and i did not have this problem in the past, when I start a simulation with a crg file, the simulation doesnt start and motionview closes.
Might it be a problem with the 2025 release (I previously used the 2024 when i didnt have problems)?

no .log files are generated, the simulation doesnt even start, it crashes before, I cleared the folders you suggested but nothing has changed. When starting a simulation with the crg file it works, but the problem is when i set the path profile as road centerline that it crashes. (I thought about creating a curve to set the path profile but it doesnt work for some roads since the curve must be defined with increasing x points).
Hi @Mattia_pugnaghi,
I have used our example Electric Sport Bike model and created a simulation where it completes a Road Course event over a rough road in CRG format. This simulation completed as expected when the path was set as road centerline as well (even though the road is straight). Please see image of the event settings and the results animation below:
Can you confirm that you are initializing your event in a similar manner?
Hope this helps!

yes, exactly what I'm doing. I've tried now with a simpler road I had created (straight line followed by a circle) and it works. The road that gave me problems is a straight line followed by a turn that decreases and then reincreases in radius (the decrease and increase are linear). I can't notice anything wrong with the road itself, but loading it as graphics sometimes works and sometimes crashes the application in the same way as with the simulation (which always crashes). Do you have any idea what I should change to make it work?
Hi @Mattia_pugnaghi,
I would guess that the centerline for your complex path is not being interpolated properly, since the 'easier' paths seems to work just fine.
Are you creating these roads yourself, or are they already generated for you?
When you say it 'crashes the application', do you mean that MotionView completely closes? Or is an error message/window displayed?
Hope this helps!

Hi Mattia,
Have you tried running the simulation with a standard CRG "flatRoad" file (e.g., the default flat road profile provided in HyperWorks)? or just a rdf road? This can help determine if the issue is related to the road file.
Could you check if any .log files are generated in the simulation output directory? These files may contain error messages that can pinpoint the issue.
If you suspect MotionView is causing the error, clearing old HyperWorks-related temporary files might help. To do this:
Type %temp% in an file explorer and clear the directories below.
Thanks for the response!
