how to measure void ratio in EDEM

In Analyst go to File—> Export—>Results Data and export volume of solid particle

From the input you might be knowing the total volume, and calculate void volume by subtracting the solid particle volume from total volume.

To get void ratio divide the void volume with solid particle volume.

The region to which you calculate is based on your requirement. the general method how to calculate void ratio is explained using that equation if you want to calculate for all particles you can do but if you want to calculate for a specific region then you have to create a bin and you should export the particle volume in that bin and consider total volume as bin.
