hm9 error in win 8

Hello people, I know its an older ver(ver 9) of hw. I could successfully install hw9 in win8 but when I run it its giving me an error sayin,

'Altair License Manage: License error

Invalid license file syntax.

Feature: GlobalGridWorksAP

License path: C:/Altair/hw9.0/security/altair_lic.dat

Flexnet Licensing error:-2,413'

Can anybody help me with this issue ?? Would be thankfull.

    I had a patch file, .exe afterwhich it was supposed to run. Worked with winXP in my previous pc, but having problem here.

    Hi, patched version often has some problems. Please confirm the progress done succesfully or not. It's a better to look for a higher version for compatiblity. I am using altair license so such problems usual relate to network server

    Are you running version 9.0 or 9.1? There is a new license format in 9.1
