Pressure Load

Hello,

I'm optimizing a rear wing for a racing car and I have one question:

I want to apply a 400kg load (pressure) on a area of 494000sqmm.

After selecting the elements on which to apply the pressure, should I enter 0.00799 on the Magnitude? Or 1.442e-7?

The difference is that the second value is the first divided by the number of elements (55412).

I have searched around and done some tutorials but in some, the magnitude is the value of the pressure and in others, the magnitude is the pressure divided by the number of elements.

Can someone help me please?

Thank you very much!

    Don't divise by element number!

                                  FORCE

    pressure =   -------------------------------

                                  AREA

    and pressure value will be appliqued for all element within the AREA.

    Okay, thank you very much!

    I asked this question because I've seen some posts where the load is divided by the element number and then this value goes to the magnitude...

    I tried both values but with the second one the results were super weird. Decided to check with who knows best!

    Thank you so much for your help!!

    Yes, elements falling in that area. But dividing with the number of elements doesn't make any sense.

    Divide it by area.
