when i use the fastener tool to create a bolt connection i get something like shown in the picture. but iam confused why the rb2's connect to every element along the hole. A nut and bolt connection presses on the top and the bottom the shank do not touch the inside of the hole. am i mistaken here ? did i do something wrong? is there a way to realize this ?

you might be looking for something like the other connector types.

Take a look at the other options there, if they suit you better.

the picture i've sent before was obtained from the pdf, and it shows a 3D example, under 'threaded steped bolt'. Maybe it is not the exact one you're looking for.

And the second picture i've sent was built using this exact connector type.

You must be using some wrong parameters to create your connector, maybe. Can you double check the 'hole detection' parameters in your connector?
