Hi everyone, I'm trying to develop a resonance study including a patch GPS antenna and when I try to run the FEKO solver it says all segments and triangles are perfectly conducting. After checking geometry and mesh the 'ERROR 33238: Not enough memory available on the hard disk for an out-of-core file' appears. The .out file describes 244340 flat triangles and my computer has 64GB RAM installed (below you can find the .out file). I allowed also a local parallel execution, but the error stills appearing. 

 

I'm using the default solver (MoM), but I don´t know if I'm using a wrong solver. Since my geometry is approx. 83x180mm.

Should I use the 'farm out' function as well?

    That sounds like a lot of triangles for a patch antenna. Could you please attach the .cfx file to this issue?

    Unfortunately I can´t share the geometry or any file containing it due to confidential policy of the enterprise I work to. 

    Do you think I should contact Altair for technical support and make it more 'formal'?

    From your out file I can see you have an extreme amount of dielectric triangles.

     

    This is due to the definition of the Aluminium_ANSI_380 dielectric.

    Are you sure the tan_delta of 2.80861E+08 is correct? 

     

    Feko will mesh this dielectric according to the wavelength in the dielectric, which is 25 micro meters, and this causes the many triangles.

    It would appear you wanted to define a lossy metallic medium instead?

    Please check the examples guide. There are a couple of examples there which will guide you on defining such a medium.

    You can try using online cloud storage to keep your data. This will help you free your hard disk a little bit. Or you can get in touch with companies like RAID RECOVERY that can help you convert your data, giving your hard disk some free space. Don't forget that you can also delete some of the data stored on your hard disk, but this isn't the easiest method. Still, I've just given you some advice, so you should decide how to solve your problem at the end of the day. Wish you the best of luck.
