Refine Tetramesh

Hi,
Is there a possibility to create a tetramesh from a surface mesh so that it has a smaller mesh size at the surface and larger in the inside. So the mesh size should follow a gradient from outside to inside. The shape I want to mesh is a vertebrae (so no geometrical shape).
thanks, Best
J

Hi Rahul,
I try be clearer:
I have a surface mesh of a vertebra. Now I want to fill it with tetra solid elements. So far it is easy. However, I want to fill it in a way that I have small tetras at the surface (corresponding to my surface mesh) and larger elements in the center (see ). Is this possible?
Thanks, J
/emoticons/default_rolleyes.gif' title='' /> I think it is default pattern . Did you slice your part and view inside ?
in case you want to control gradient size, switch tetra parameter to 'user control' and input bigger value for 'growth rate'

Wow!! This is exactly what I was searching for! Thanks a lot tinh!!

you can keep smaller element size for enclosed volume 2d mesh & bigger element size for tetrahedral mesh.Make sure to have enclosed volume for 3d mesh.
