How to export mesh from Hypermesh to Ansys ?

Hello all,

I have meshed my component (with hex8, penta6 and tri3 elements) in Hypermesh, but when I try to export the mesh to Ansys, Hypermesh prompts me with "Save invalid elements to user mark ?". Can you provide me any insights on how to overcome this problem ?

Thank you.

make sure you are using Ansys user profile in HyperMesh.

You need to create the mesh in the correct user profile.

If not, change the user profile and then go to 'elem types', select all the elements, and go to 'update' to adjust all elements to the right element type for ansys.

Thank you for your response Adriano. I changed the user profile to Ansys and tried to update the elements using 3D ---> elem types but the update option is not available.

You can review model building examples for Ansys in the HyperMesh help.
