How to connect 2-d and 3-d meshed components

Hello everyone,

 

I´ve got the following problem:

 

I want to actualise a connection between a carbon fibre tube and a solid component out of aluminium. I meshed the tube with 2D Automesh and the 3D solid with Tetra Mesh. Actually the tube is gonna be plunged into a solid bushing (pic.). My question is: Which is the 1) basic and 2) also most realistic way to implement this connection.  The connection is planned to be realised with a sort of an adhesive. Thanks for your help!
