What's the difference between the two system creation method

Hi Roy,
Using axis direction method the user defines the system based on the axis direction. But for node reference, based on the node selected by the user the local system is created. Moreover using axis direction method user can select a number of nodes and the local system will be created in every nodes selected whereas this is not possible for node reference method.

Hi George P,
Using axis direction method, three nodes were selected to define a system (one was for origin, one was for x-axis, and another was for xy plane ). While using node reference method, also three nodes were selected to define a system (one was for origin, one was for x-axis, and another was for xy plane ). So I don't think I have got the difference point. Could you please explain it detailedly? Thank you.
Best Wishes

please check in case of node reference, when nodes moved, whether the system update or not? that would be a potential difference in your analysis, comparing with a fixed system

Hi Roy,
That's an important tip Tinh has shared. For systems created by node reference method the local system created is also updated when the node is translated whereas for the other method it doesn't.
