How volume intersections are interpreted in Feko?

As i know, if two volumes intersect in Feko, i have to cut one from another, then create the one i cutted once again and unite them with unity.
I create 1000 Spheres, some of them intersect. What would be right in Feko?
Can i go through each Sphere i add and cut it from previous cubes and then add them as unity, even if they dont intersect
or
Is it needed to determine Volume Intersections generically and only in this case cut the one volume, then create it again and unite

 

How can I detect volume intersection in Feko? or I should better add a Matlab Scipt for determining intersections?

    Hello bobo44,

     

    I'm not sure I understand the problem you are trying to solve, but here are my thoughts on the modelling aspect.

    This is not necessary.  You should be able to use 'Union' on all of the geometry that is already created, irrespective of whether they intersect or not.  You also do not need to recreate anything, CADFEKO will take care of that for you.

     

    Imagine you have two spheres that overlap.  If you use 'Union', you will have part of the first sphere, part of the second sphere and now a new section where the two spheres overlap.  These will automatically be created and represented as three different regions in the details tree (bottom-left of the screen) when you select the geometry.  You can set different properties for each region as needed.

     

    You can have a look at the Example Guide and Getting Started Guide for some examples of how this works.  These can be accessed in the FEKO Help (by pressing F1 in the application) or in PDF format from the start page right after opening a new instance of CADFEKO.
