When applying a remote force, let say 25kN at 0,5m from of a certain point on a structure.
will this force also automatically result into a moment of 12,5 kNm at that point?
OR do I have to add that moment separately as a remote moment as well?
It is about a ballast weight of a sort of crane, which crane doesn’t have a ballast arm yet on which I can mount the ballast yet. So I need to determine the ballast arm-length, before I design the ballast-arm.
