A Chinese student is asking for help!
Hi experts :
I am a student from China. I do a research of bus body frame, and I have finished the midsurface and repaired the model. Now I want to simulated welding by using common nodes. but I don't know how to repair the gap between the Square tubes(like the picture). The attachment is my model.
So I sincerely hope to guide me in completing the grid of this model. Thanks in advance!<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

Hi Liusst,
sorry, I try to do it, but it don't work. Maybe I think it's that the gap between the tubes is created after midsurface. Before midsurface, there are not the gap in my model. Can you have another solution?/emoticons/default_biggrin.png' srcset='/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x' title=':D' width='20' />
Please go through this video. I think it will solve your problem.

Yes i know that the gap was created after creating mid-surface. And this is the way to connect it. Or try Extend option in the Surface edit panel.

Hi Liusst,
You have done repaired it correctly. You can use Node edit to align the elements to the Node indicated in black circle.

Yes, It can solve the problems by align nodes. But as you can see, there are lots of nodes need to align/emoticons/default_ph34r.png' srcset='/emoticons/ph34r@2x.png 2x' title='' width='20' />/emoticons/default_sad.png' srcset='/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x' title=':(' width='20' />/emoticons/default_sad.png' srcset='/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x' title=':(' width='20' />,Is there any skill that can be done quickly?

Hi Liusst,
Please, try Translate or Project option in the Tools page. Using these options you can align multiple nodes on the surface in one go.

Hi
The attachment is what I just finished, the 0710 is my model. and this is my way:
step1: surface edit/trim with lines
step2: edge edit/replace or quick edit/replace point
Or You can do it in your own way , and tell me how to do that.
Thank you~

I have completed the repair of the model(the 0711-zhong), Can you check it for me? or you can create the grids to this model, and check it right or not.
Thank you very much!

Hi Liusst,
Sorry for late reply.
I see that your CAD model is not good. Please zoom into the regions shown in the below image and look at it, the surfaces/lines are going beyond the other surfaces/lines. The geometry is not created properly. This is the reason you are facing these problems. Please create a proper CAD and try again.
Thank you

Hi 0712-2.hm). It seems to be correct this time.
By the way, Is there any skills to improve the mesh of the triangle area?
Thank you!
Mesh looks fine. But, if you still want to make it better, try Edit Element option.
Thank you
