You might think this is a stupid question, but I've been struggling on how to make a 6 noded triangular element, or tria6 in hypermesh. I have this surface, and I don't know how to make tria6 mesh of it? Please help on step-by-step how to. Thank you so much. Sorry if this question is stupid. I've been googling it with no result.

    Hello,

     

    Try the following:

     

    * Menu->Preferences->Meshing Options->mesh-> switch element order to 'second'

    * in Automesher switch mesh type to 'trias'

    * mesh

    Thank you Mario. I saw the order change button, but I don't know much about finite element method itself. Thank you for your help.
