2D Native BL Mesh (Planar) Element kind and distribution
Hey,
I have the following issue during meshing my 2D airfoil with an obtuse trailing edge:
I would like to mesh my airfoil like that: BL-Mesh with quad elements from leading edge to trailing edge (upper and lower part of airfoil) and the vertical area at the trailing edge (photo: yellow 1D elements) with tria elements (therefore farfield instead of wall) in order to avoid the quad mesh around the trailing edge (see photo with red quad BL elements). However, when doing this with the Tool '2D Native BL Mesh Planar' it says 'selected elements do not form closed loop' (see photo). Therefore I would like to ask, if there is a possibility to avoid quad elements at a certrain part around the airfoil with the Tool 2D Native BL Mesh (Planar)...
Or is there a possibility to delete the quad elements around the trailing edge and remesh this area?
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
Cheers,
Martin

Hi MartinM711,
Please check whether all the nodes are connected or not. If not equivalence the same and try again.
Also go through the attached document.
Thank you

Hi Premanand!
After finding edges and do 'equivalence', it worked!!
Thank you very very much for your support!
Best wishes!
Martin
