Non-linear quasi-static: contact

Hi. I have to model the contact between that shaft (see the picture) and the housing. After creating the interface, I have choosen 'SLIDE' and I have run a non-linear quasi-static analysis. Is the choice SLIDE correct? Thank you.

Hi Mirino,

 

Please refer to help for types of contact available and their definition.

 

Slide contact will allow to the slide over the other. If this is what you are expecting, then SLIDE is the right type.
