Mesh 3D

Hi guys.

I just started using Hypermesh student edition and I have to carry out a CFD analysis for a University exam.
I tried to make a 3d mesh of a component by Solid Map (after making the surface mesh). So at first I used the trim tool to trim a symmetric component and then I made a 2-D quad mesh (because I have to use a hexa mesh for solid). Then I just made the 3D mesh on the trimmed surface. To get the mesh of the second half of the component I used Geometry>Reflect>Elems. I therefore wonder if the mesh thus obtained is connected or if the two halves are not connected to each other.
I share my model hoping someone can help me.
Best regards.

    Hi,

You can  check the connectivity of the model in Shift+F3. You can select the components or elements from the selection menu, provide the tolerance and click preview equivalence. It will display the nodes to be connected and click equivalence so that the displayed nodes will be connected. As a good practice, after the model is meshed go to mask panel, select an element and choose elements by attached, so that all connected elements will be selected. Thus you can reconfirm the connectivity maintained in the model.
