I'm looking to simulate a tall (free-standing) metal antenna tower near several buildings in WinProp. The buildings are easy to do in an urban scenario, but how best to include the tower?
I would recommend to simulate the antennas, plus as much of the tower structure as is important for the pattern, in FEKO. It may not be necessary to include the entire tower structure down to the ground. Also, don't include the ground in FEKO; let WinProp take care of the ground.
In FEKO, determine the far-field pattern and use that pattern in ProMan in an urban scenario. Don't worry about including the tower geometry itself in the WinProp urban database. This will be correct assuming enough has already been included in FEKO and the rest is not going to affect the propagation results).
