Modelling TetraMesh around Solid

Hi, 

I have a blade with an internal balancing rod. Each is made of different materials and is assigned to a different component collector. I was wondering how to create a solid mesh around the balancing rod, and subsequently connect the rod's mesh elements to the blade? I am planning to use tetramesh for both components,

HI,

As a workaround, you can trim (Solid Edit panel) the solids so that you can split the solids. And create the 2D mesh on the components and maintain the connectivity between the components. After this operation, you can go ahead to create the tetramesh elements.
